The location of the plot for this project is at Gen.Skobelev blvd. in Sofia. The place used to be a train station in the beginning of the 20th century but now it is rather a run-down area. The place is used as a car park and there are a few small restaurants which serve to the people who work and live in the area. 



The area is full of high residential blocks (it is called Zona B-5) which were built in the 70's. There is a kindergarten and a home for elderly people on the same street. Just a few steps down the boulevard there is a big shopping centre and another few minutes away is the metro station. 



I think that despite the noise from the boulevard, the location for this school is appropriate because it is easy to reach by public transport and there is no other school of arts nearby. Moreover, there are plans for the area to become a park, so a school of arts could be combined with a park very successfully.
